define it a romance, maybea comedy, and acid comedy cause Velenth makes the most terrible things, never regrets them And everyone around him thinks he is right and makes the most vicious things for the sake of the kingdom He also hates unicorns So, if you want a lighthearth reading and some very funny characters, here it is your chance.http elisa rolle.livejournal.com 99 Bookgasm I love my them, if I could even if they do suffer from the hilarious fail, yes The only thing I think the book could have gone without is the sex at the end Don t get me wrong, I live and BREATHE porn, but I m not entirely sure the whole thing fitted with the book, to be honest Although the selfish, fangirl, PERVY part of me absolutely SQUEES rereading the book in its entirety.A very enjoyable read, folks It s a definite MUST If only for the shits and giggles, and for raising morale on days when you re feeling down Because, honestly, this book won t fail in picking you up For a book that s supposed to be comedy, the laughs in this story come with a snap of sharp teeth Elisa Viperas has a kind of evil genius for digging around for awkward, true to life situations for her characters, and holding up these less than shining moments to be slyly mocked That s why this book is so incredibly funny because the situations are so instantly recognizable Haven t we all been enad of ugly shoes at some point in our lives, and haven t we all made at least one Huge Mista For a book that s supposed to be comedy, the laughs in this story come with a snap of sharp teeth Elisa Viperas has a kind of evil genius hate unicorns in some dark corner of our hearts, just the tiniest bit The humor in the story is a layering of blatant one liners and subtle digs, the characterization is sublime, the plot is fast paced and hilariously funny, the details are rich, the writing is excellent Every possible layer to this story is satisfying, and there s nothing I would have wanted Viperas to change Dark and hilariously funny, this book is tongue in cheek social and political commentary in a short package The characters are uniquely suited to each other, the story seems to be a strange fairy tale, but once it all starts to make sense, it s genius. The perfect read for some good belly laughs and a couple hours of light hearted fun. Dark, wickedly fun This one got me worried looks when I would burst out snorting and laughing out of nowhere which somehow get worse when you try to control yourself Recommended for those who are in the mood for a dry, witty, sarcastic, hilarious read with great, memorable characters all around Thanks to MandyM for pointing the way, it can be found at Diesel ebookstore. Velenth snorted Jeez, Reynard, if I wanted sex, I d disguise myself as a petty officer and try to trick the seventh division into gangbanging me until I can t walk He paused, and his lips curled with a small, dreamy smile Again WOWlol it s pretty light hearted and funny I like the characters.BUT in my mind, Sven is always the douchebag college version of Bobby, the Barbarian from Dungeons and Dragons image error Velenth snorted Jeez, Reynard, if I wanted sex, I d disguise myself as a petty officer and try to trick the seventh division into gangbanging me until I can t walk He paused, and his lips curled with a small, dreamy smile Again WOWlol it s pretty light hearted and funny I like the characters.BUT in my mind, Sven is always the douchebag college version of Bobby, the Barbarian from Dungeons and Dragons image error For the first half of the book I laughed out loud constantly Later on it became dark, messy and confusing, and I didn t like it at all The end was rather sweet and funny again, with few surprising twists. So it s not my perfect 5 stars book rather 4.5 , but I ll round it to 5. The only thing missing to make it perfection was a scene with the soldiers in the barracks It was my ideal otp after all. {Free Pdf} õ Dark Lord Seeks Friendship, Maybe More  Velenth is a Dark Lord, full of dirty tricks and dark intrigue He s not exactly the kind of ruler his people might have wanted, but he s helped them out a lot, improving the economy and the sewer system He s even creating a new fashion statement with his dark and dipped in black ways So why is he so lonely Velenth knows just what he needs, so he decides to put out a personal ad For friendship, maybe Can he find what he needs in this hilarious fantastical romp I suppose my enjoyment of this would have been greater if I hadn t pictured Velenth s main love interest looking like this the whole time in my head Other than that this book really wasn t that bad, it was at times delightfully funny And yet in all good conscience I can t give itthan two stars It s too much of a brain mush type novel for that Vipera s isn t a bad writer, but she s not exactly talented either This novel would have been better suited to a manga format, and if the auth I suppose my enjoyment of this would have been greater if I hadn t pictured Velenth s main love interest looking like this the whole time in my head Other than that this book really wasn t that bad, it was at times delightfully funny And yet in all good conscience I can t give itthan two stars It s too much of a brain mush type novel for that Vipera s isn t a bad writer, but she s not exactly talented either This novel would have been better suited to a manga format, and if the author isn t a BL fan I ll be surprised, so that should give you a better idea about the type of writing you re dealing with here Not to say manga isn t enjoyable and BL can t be great when it s handled right, but Dark Lord Seeks labors under a ton of tropes, most of them lifted straight out of the Asian graphic novel scene It seems to me that this story s main problem is that it can t decide on wither or not it wants to put in a legit effort to be serious or not Just when it seems that the writing has evened out and decided to put effort into being a light comedy, some political tension will rear up out of nowhere and jar the narrative Normally this wouldn t be a bad thing but the problems are nonsensical and poorly thought out Events of major importance are handled less like political war strategies than they are late nights at the office Oh no Another rebellion Better put on the coffee maker. So yeah, not bad But certainly not great If you re into BL you ll love this, if not, then it s funny but equally forgettable. On a side note I really could have done without those cringe inducing sex scenes and the horrifying hint of MPREG that this story went out on
