This book was gifted to me a good few years ago, when I was still a tot I remember trying to get through this so many times, but I could never get past the beginning and I didn t want to skip anything So I d reread the first few stories again and again and again.I am not a tot any I decided to take up this book again quite recently, though well, not too recently I took it up in June and then forgot beautiful, and the illustrations made everything so much better I loved it very much Even the first few stories LOVED it Not gonna say I read every one some held absolutely no interest for me but a good 98% was great and even stuff I d never heard of Went out and bought 5of these for my family.Very, very nice illustrations kudos to Roger Roth Illustrations can make or break a book.Good organization and choice of stories, too Good Read 100 different stories about the history of our countrysome i knew, some that took the story further for me, and some that were completely new to mei m intrigued by the selection of stories that the author chose for the bookstories you would expect are not present and stories you didn t know about are presentedat the end of the book there is a
