!Free E-pub ♼ Precious Angels: A True Story of Two Slain Children and a Mother Convicted of Murder ☼ On June the tranquillity of Rowlett, Texas was forever shattered by a franticphone call from Darlie Routier to police, claiming an intruder had broken into her home and stabbed her two little boys to death But the subsequent investigation revealed a darker truth the murder of two innocent children by their own mother Through meticulous research and exclusive sources, Precious Angels presents the complete story of this shocking crime Anytime I read a book like this I review the case and try and see the story from both sides because these are either for, or against the subject of said book This book is clearly against Darlie and shows a woman who is clearly a psychopath It s a hard book to read because I m a father and couldn t imagine anyone doing this to their children yet make no mistake, Darlie is guilty and you don t need the book to prove it While we get a glimpse of who Darlie really is, what really makes the book Anytime I read a book like this I review the case and try and see the story from both sides because these are either for, or against the subject of said book This book is clearly against Darlie and shows a woman who is clearly a psychopath It s a hard book to read because I m a father and couldn t imagine anyone doing this to their children yet make no mistake, Darlie is guilty and you don t need the book to prove it While we get a glimpse of who Darlie really is, what really makes the book so damaging is the evidence that doesn t lead anyone to suspect an intruder was in the house The actions of Darlie herself make it hard to see a woman who is grieving You could argue that everyone shows guilt differently, but throughout Davis book, there is no grief, and worst of all, her accounts of that night constantly change You re going to have people who will adamantly say that she s innocent, and will point to the sock and the black car as proof that someone else was in the house that night, but the crime scene says otherwise It s a look at the real story of what happened twenty three years ago and the motive for it will shock you While Davis paints an unflattering portrait of Darlie, it s everything else that makes the book so compelling She includes interviews that show a woman who is slowly unraveling and then does the unthinkable Sadly, Davis herself has now denounced the book and feels that Darlie is in fact innocent which doesn t really make a lot of sense when you look at Darlie s wounds, the crime scene and the mounting debt It was proven that there was no intruder, there couldn t have been and if there s evidence out there that says otherwise I would love to see it Precious Angels is a sad book that presents a true account of a crime that shocked the world, but it s presented in a way that doesn t go out of its way to prove things that are impossible to believe True crime books are usually half truths filled in with ideas and thoughts the author wants you to believe but that s not the case here People will argue that the police never looked for another suspect and there s a reason for that There is no other suspect The only person the police looked at was the only one that made sense because of the crime scene The crime scene spoke volumes, and the police had no reason to look at anyone else All of those who want to believe that Darlie is innocent will hate this book because it s the truth, and the truth sometimes hurts for anyone who reads this book I recommend reading Media Tried, Justice Denied I read Precious Angels first and was left still wondering whether she was guilty or innocent so I started researching the case and going Media Tried I ordered the book and after reading it was left with no doubt no spoilers here get the book it s worth it warning though there are very graphic pictures of the crime scene in this book do if you read it beware. I liked this book and would recommend it to people that like mysteries It is very sad because it is a true story about a mother that killed her two five and six year old children, and faked a 911 call. Pretty good, even though the author walked her opinion back stopped publication of this book after seeing evidence photos that she thinks the jury didn t pay attention to I think Darlie is guilty, even though I wish she wasn t Pretty good, even though the author walked her opinion back stopped publication of this book after seeing evidence photos that she thinks the jury didn t pay attention to I think Darlie is guilty, even though I wish she wasn t If you wanna read this book, you re gonna have to pay It s out of print and I believe the author has changed her mind regarding Darlie s guilt that s why a new addition will never transpire You ll have to wait til you can save at least 30 for it I was lucky and finally nabbed a highly coveted copy for under 25 Yay, me It s worth the price if you know Darlie is innocent The title is femininely treacly, but it s prolly the best Darlie book I ve read so far Nicely written, good info If you wanna read this book, you re gonna have to pay It s out of print and I believe the author has changed her mind regarding Darlie s guilt that s why a new addition will never transpire You ll have to wait til you can save at least 30 for it I was lucky and finally nabbed a highly coveted copy for under 25 Yay, me It s worth the price if you know Darlie is innocent The title is femininely treacly, but it s prolly the best Darlie book I ve read so far Nicely written, good info in it and it really showcases how we all fell for the emotional conventional wisdom even though the REAL forensic clues and motive are never there We all just wanted to hate on Darlie and see her as the psycho killer of her 2 boys Thanks Susan Smith Awful Those emotions are good for soap opera plots but not for concrete proof of a sadistic and heinous double murder That being said there are some ponderous things regarding the killingswhy didn t her little doggie Domain bark and why were the Rowlett cops so keen on only focusing on Darlie There was a strange black car staking out her home seen by a few people and she was receiving crank calls Darlie Routier was on Death Row by February 1997not enough time to build a solid defense Officer James Patterson s illegal taping of the children s grave site and his pleading of the fifth during Darlie s trial should have many stroking their chins in wonder how he got away with it all Well written, but you can tell Barbara believed all the hype we all did at the time This book didn t mention anything about the alleged insurance fraud Darin was supposedly into I d like to know why the Polish pals of Darlie turned so completely on her Jeez, with friends like themEssential book if you want to dig deep RE the Darlie mystery Satantic date and all The author does a good job prolly inadvertently showing how heaps of circumstantial evidence can lead a nation to believing a fun loving mum of 3 little boys can be seen as a murderous maniac The thing that always gets me about this case is how many men lean on feminine emotionalities to say Darlie is guilty Give me good hardcore evidence or go away, FFS Jeez What a travesty of justice Over 23 years on Texas Death Row Kafkaesque and another sad example of our broken system of justice Dios mio Disturbing insight into what some mothers are capable of Tragic, but fascinating read from a good writer who was in the courtroom for the trial. This was a hard read I enjoy true crime books but becoming a mom has made it hit closer to home when i read crimes against children I couldn t finish this one for that reason DNF This is in the top ten best , possibly the top five, true crime books I ve read By best I mean well written and that the story is absolutely horrendous Darlie Routier was convicted and sent to death row for murdering her two sons with a butcher knife while they slept Their are many, many people who believe in Routier s innocence, including her husband If I remember correctly he s wavered a few times in his beliefs but has been holding strong to her innocence in the past years The story goe This is in the top ten best , possibly the top five, true crime books I ve read By best I mean well written and that the story is absolutely horrendous Darlie Routier was convicted and sent to death row for murdering her two sons with a butcher knife while they slept Their are many, many people who believe in Routier s innocence, including her husband If I remember correctly he s wavered a few times in his beliefs but has been holding strong to her innocence in the past years The story goes as follows Routier and two of her three sons slept in the living room one night while her remaining son and husband slept upstairs like normal She awoke to one of her sons calling for her and saw a man in the room She followed the man, saw a knife on the floor, picked it up conveniently leaving her fingerprints on it and chased him She then realized she was stabbed and turned back to find her boys were dead and dying One son died right away, the other was clinging to life for a short time Police found incriminating evidence during their searches one thing they found was a spot where blood had been cleaned away they found this with a Luminol test A vaccum cleaner had been placed on top of the spot Something else that didn t sit well with many people very soon after this took place Routier and the remaining family members went to the boys graves to celebrate a birthday party and Routier was seen dancing on the babies graves and shooting silly string on the headstones. There is a lot of debate going on about her guilt or innocence and she s currently sitting on death row at the time of this review One thing her believers are big on shouting about is her wounds and how they could have been made by the mysterious attacker Then again, the police took pics which can be seen if you Google her name by the way of the wounds and none look to be anything she couldn t have made herself I guess we ll never knowthan the fact that those two little babies were killed by a monster who the monster was we ll probably never learn
