A heartbreaking cliffhanger of a sequel Kate, Diana, and the boys from Eden continue their journey to Eden Well, most of them do anyway Ian runs back to Eden with little Tabitha because she s very very sick Before Ian leaves, he tries to tell Kate the truth about Eden He mentions a few things he shouldn t have You see, Eden has a Code all of it s residents are bound by, and oath breakers of The with Kate Justin tells Kate the truth about Eden, all of it He even goes as far as to tell Kate where she and Diana are actually going I will not be telling you any of the details Justin told Kate You ll have to read the book for those Sorry There are a lot of trials our little group goes through in this fabulously written sequel Another illness, an ambush with a fire, and death And that s all before we hear about an attack on Eden WHAT Yep I m warning you The impenetrable city may not be so safe, or is it Again I tell you, read the book This book has a favorite of mine, multiple points of view Woohoo We get to see inside of Ian and what makes him tick We also, through Ian s eyes, get a great picture of Eden We meet Ian s family, some of his acquaintances and meet some new characters My suggestion to you is, if you have read Breeder by Casey Hays, this is a must read If you haven t, read Breeder then read The Archer In my opinion this is not a stand alone I received an ecopy of this book in exchange for an honest review I must confess that I enjoyed book one a littlethan book two and I think that is because this one was so heartbreaking and I know it had to be because that s life and evenso in this world but it made me very sad on many occasions, now I will say that I m in love with this series and heartbreaking or not I will continue on because I m totally hooked and that insane cliffhanger demands me to find out what happens, I am I received an ecopy of this book in exchange for an honest review I must confess that I enjoyed book one a littlethan book two and I think hanging like that is just cruel especially since I can t get book 3 yet but as soon as I can I m all over it.I still love Kate she is strong and capable and I love the group that surrounds her on her scary journey to a new life These boys from Eden are a mystery cloaked in rugged strength and equal tenderness I enjoyed the Eden boys Ian and Justin most of all and I really liked getting Ian s point of view in this book it gave meinfo on Eden, Ian s super powers and also the insight I craved on Ian s feelings for Kate Eden has a ton of secrets that I did not expect, it is not the utopia it was made out to be but the world is a crazy place and Kate does realize this eventually The outside world is no better, I say quietly It might even be worse I am crazy excited for book 3 there is so much I need to know and so many people I m hoping find the happiness they deserve, they have been through too much heatache as it is and I know there isto come Grief does not keep track of time Amazing series with amazing writing and this has become one of my favorite dystopians Stunning, heartbreaking, suspenseful , loving, These are just a few words I am feeling after finishing the Archer Breeder alike Kate and her friend Diana leave their village after defying everything they have believed in Ian and his friends from Eden returned to get Kate The girls believe they have started the journey to Eden, to a new life They have no idea how different the world really is or how the secrets of Eden will keep them from this new life The journey starts and there are revelations and self doubt in every step Kate takes As Kate learns the world as they know it is a lie, but they are not the only lies Kate has been told Many lies that Ian has told her come to light, shaking Kate s trust in Ian and Eden At points in the book , it seems like not much is going on You spend a lot of time in Kate s head She is always weighing the good and bad The doubt she has of not believing blindly like the other women in her village All the thoughts that she has make you realize what a remarkable character Kate is I was never bored in her head , she is everything a true heroine should be Ian is her match Even with his impulsive actions , he is always thinking of Kate , his friends and his family You get to spend some time in Ian s head , getting to know him and Eden As the reader you realized that Eden is not the place Kate or Ian thought it was The boys soon learn that the place they love has many secrets that go against everything they knew I loved the Archer as much as I did Breeder While at the same time they were two very different books The Archer answers some questions , while leaving you wondering about so many The ending , wow, wow , wow Really Casey , that was cruel The Her struggles were real In this book, she sinto her head Thinking the same thing again and again It did wear me off but than the story would always make it up for it.So many questions raised when very few were answered, this absolutely makes me want to have the third installment in my hand now.If you are looking for an post apocalyptic journey be sure to check this book out It has one of the strongest lead female and since it s a very serious book i let go of my need to have sass in my leading lady I liked the second book in this series eventhan the first In the second book, it really
